We are pleased to be holding the organised, safe and controlled Derby 10 Mile event:
SUNDAY 15 NOVEMBER
START AND FINISH AT DERBY ARENA, PRIDE PARK, DERBY
Due to Covid 19 Safety guidelines and social distancing, the run will take place in 2 waves starting at: 09:30 and 11:30am
This means that you will be required for between 5 and 6 hours depending on your allocated role which will more than likely be on the course.
In line with Covid 19 guidelines we ask that you wear a mask at all times.
There will be hand sanitising stations placed at various points for your use.
You will be expected to maintain social distancing at all times.
On arrival you will be provided with your own sealed carrier bag that will have been quarantined for 72 hours prior to the event and will include a disposable bib, water and refreshments.
There will be no inside facilities available at the Arena and unfortunately, we cannot provide any hot drinks on the day and there will be nowhere to purchase any food. We aim to provide a mid-shift bite delivered out on the course.
Please come appropriately dressed for outdoor weather and be prepared for some walking.
This year’s race is being split into two races and volunteers will be required from approximately 8.30am to 2.30pm. Further details about the available roles and specific timings will be provided here in due course.
We are able to provide all volunteers with:
1. Refreshments provided at the start of volunteering shift. We cannot provide hot drinks and volunteers are asked to bring hot drinks themselves if required.
2. A certificate of voluntary hours (if requested).
3. A 10 mile finisher t-shirt (subject to availability).
If you feel you have the competence to be a volunteer team leader, please contact us with a brief description of what leadership experiences you have had previously.
